Reiki is an energy practice which helps to promote relaxation and reduce stress, creating an environment for healing. When our bodies are in a state of stress, chronic illness, and/or trauma, our body cannot do what it is designed to do ~ heal itself. Reiki helps to restores the body's own natural energy flow, which can sometimes get blocked by these traumas, sickness, injury, stress from our environment and so on.
Reiki is a gentle practice of the laying on of the hands or hovering over the body when treating humans. However, working with animals this practice is approach differently. Animals need to accept the invitation for reiki and the healing that occurs during a session. It should always be their free will making the choice.to receive reiki.
Beginning a session, I sit with the animal and allow them to feel into my energy. Due to their intuitive nature they begin to move into the session with an openness and understanding of their own healing. Pet owners see the physical change in their pet during and after the session. A visible relaxation washes over the animal, as they become more serene through the session. The days following the session there are behavior changes of relaxation, calm temperament are apparent. Given the reason for the session positive changes are most definitely seen and felt by the owner with their beloved pet.
What does reiki help with?

Reiki can be done both in person or distance healing. When choosing a practitioner be sure you feel comfortable with them. Check out their testimonials. Possibly speak to former clients, if this makes you more at ease for yourself or your precious pet. Each and every practitioner is different. The most important factor is the client feels at ease with the way the practitioner aids in the healing process. A practitioner’s main goal should be to serve the clients in the best way possible in order to have the best results.
“When I look into the eyes of an animal I do not see an animal. I see a living soul. I see a friend. I see a soul.” ~ A.D. Williams
